In an afternoon press conference at the Iowa Caucuses, Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump suddenly revoked all his prior positive statements related to Emerson College and its importance after two Emerson students recently got engaged at a Ted Cruz rally instead of his.
“Emerson College? No. No way. Bad college,” Trump said. “They don’t know what they’re talking about. The professors are total lightweight losers. The Berkeley Beacon? What a joke of a rag. Awful.”
When asked to respond to last week’s 10-second period in which he called Emerson College “great” and “very important,” Trump quickly took back all six words, to make it clear that Emerson was not even remotely important–let alone very important.
“If you want to study film, go somewhere like NYU or something. I don’t know. Go to UCLA. Somewhere. Anywhere but Emerson,” Trump said with disgust.
“I must have been thinking of Emory. Yeah, Emory. Very important. Yeah. Nice. Wow.”
